Exciting News: Big Pirates of the Caribbean Announcement Made as Key Star’s Return Welcomed.

Johnny Depp Set for Potential Return in “Pirates of the Caribbean” Reboot, Says Screenwriter Terry Rossio

Hollywood star Johnny Depp may be gearing up to reprise his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a potential reboot of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Terry Rossio, the screenwriter and producer behind the blockbuster series, revealed that Depp’s return would be warmly welcomed, should the franchise move forward with another installment.

Rossio, 63, expressed strong support for Depp, stating that the actor’s previous controversies, including allegations of abuse and struggles with alcoholism, would not hinder his return to the series. “Johnny is beloved,” Rossio remarked. “I wouldn’t even hesitate on Johnny Depp.”

While Depp’s inclusion is not in question, Rossio emphasized that the challenges in reviving the franchise lie elsewhere. “The issue is not Johnny Depp,” he said. “The issue is: is there a story worthy? Is the script good? Can it be directed well? Can the finances of it be worked out? Those are the issues.”

Depp, now 61, starred in all five films of the Disney-owned Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which has grossed over $4.5 billion worldwide. Despite years of being a Hollywood pariah due to personal and legal battles, Rossio believes Depp would be welcomed back with open arms, provided the production team can align on a strong script and secure financing for the reboot.

As of now, no official announcements have been made regarding the reboot or Depp’s involvement, but Rossio’s comments have fueled excitement about the possibility of the beloved actor returning to the high seas on

ce again.
